Incredible view, lovely simple rustic shed, great hosts! You need a car to get there, there are a few restaurants in small local town you can walk to. The welcome was excellent. We were early and Helen offered to keep our bags in the chalet even though she was still cleaning. The chalet is beautiful. Right on the slope and offering spectacular views out of the window. The chalet offered everything we could have ever wanted for a week away. Ich habe mich sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt in der sehr heimeligen, atmosphärisch warmen Hütte. Auch durch die Gastgeberfamilie entsteht eine sehr entspannte und wohlige Atmosphäre. Fanny hat mich informiert über jeweils passende Touren zu meinen sehr geringen Bergkenntnissen und Erfahrungen, Tagesform und Wetterbedingungen.

Had a sublime few days at this incredible property in Les Houches. We loved the huge garden for outside dining and drinks, the proximity to nature with the woods right behind, the double parking spaces and the stupendous views. Sleep quality was nothing less than perfect with brand new beds and mattress. Inside, the chalet is newly renovated with brand new equipment and installations. It's a five to ten minute walk to the bars and shops at the bottom of the hill, so it's useful to have a car, but the Chamonix valley public transport is efficient and inexpensive.

If you want a quiet place, then this is the chalet to be. It is a bit outside of Chamonix, but its easy to walk. A walk to town might be about 15 minutes. The only think that was not perfect is the internet. The question is, is it a bad thing or even a good thing. Like this you are a bit less on the phone.

Overall a great place to stay and Fausto replied almost instantly on all queries i had. So we were all very pleased with the stay. House was very nice as the pictures show, had a great time! Owner was next door and answered any and all questions. While possible to take the bus to ski I would recommend renting a car given location, plenty of parking. Wifi was a hotspot which wasn't great but that was really the only complaint. The chalet was very comfortable and made for a great base to explore Chamonix.

The view to the mountains is absolutely stunning. There is a parking for cars, and the apartment is very nice and cozy and has all necessary things and equipment including a big dishwasher. However, there was no washing machine in the apartment neither we could find any laundry in the residence.

There is a small closed swimming pool in the residence accessible from morning till Unfortunately no wi fi in the apartment. Be prepared to climb a very long flight of stairs to the entrance of the chalet. Also note, that in this part of the village there are no restaurants and shops, except one small boulangerie and ski rental store.

But there is a ski bus stop next to the ski lift and you can easily get to the center or to the nearby villages. The house had a fine location, near a very nice bakery, supermarket and also fairly close to the city center and al the fantastic activities you can do in the chamonix area. The house is well equipped and thus a good starting point for exploitation of the area.

Two of the three bedrooms were spaceaous and fine, the third bedroom was though pretty low-ceilinged and can only be reached via a very steep and narrow staircase. We expected from the description that we had a nice view to the mountains but none of rooms nor the little garden had that view which was a bit disapointing as it was one of the selection criteria we had when chosing the house. This chalet was the right spot for two ights in Chamonix before leaving on the Haute Route.

Hattie was kind and very straightforward in checking us in. It's a petite house but was well-equipped small kitchen but with all kinds of tools and a good oven! Note that towels and linens are not included in the price.

Otherwise, an easy spot in a beautiful town. Elena and Hattie were absolutely fantastic with us! Ready to help us right away and very friendly. The chalet is exactly as shown in the pics. The chalet is fully equiped and we had no problem to cook for 6 people. It is a bit far from the city center 2km but there is a bus stop m away. There is also a train stop nearby to go for skiing which is very convenient.

For sure I would recommend to anybody staying there, speacially families, because it is a lovely quiet residencial area. A lovely cozy cottage. Two twin beds upstairs, a double room and bunk room downstairs. I stayed for 4 nights with 4 friends and the house was plenty big enough for the 5 of us. I had several conversations with Elena the owner and she was very helpful and very friendly.

Hattie, her neighbour was there to greet us and she and her husband were also great and couldn't have been more helpful. Available Winter or Summer A Mazot is a small basic cabin usually built in the grounds of the main house to store family valuables in olden times. Mazot Jaune is a little chalet, just 20m2, however it squeezes in a double bed, table and 4 chairs, a large leather sofa, wardrobe, book shelves, shower room and kitchenette. Quality bed linen and summer-weight feather duvets make it very comfortable; thick white towels add luxury in a studio which is quite basic.

However, the linens are white Egyptian cotton, and the towels are soft and fluffy. There is a cute little kitchenette, with gas oven and 3 hobs, fridge, microwave, kettle, all dishes and pans. Les habitants d'Entremont sont vraiment adorables, accessibles et nous avons passé de bons moments dans une petite auberge à proximité du mazot, où nous avons dégusté des plats faits maisons avec des produits locaux, comme à la maison!

De très jolies stations sont également à proximité, où nous avons pu skier, faire de la randonnée et profiter des magnifiques paysages qui nous entouraient. Isabelle a été adorable et accueillante. La chambre était chauffé avant notre arrivée. La dépendance est tout équipée, pou faire la cuisine également ; une machine Nespresso permet même de faire des cafés. On voit le lac depuis la maison, et on le rejoint à pied en quelques minutes. The place is 2 min from the water with an excellent view of the sunset.

It's also a 10 min drive to a nearby chateau which offered amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
